What can a construction company do to transform personal brokenness and solve systemic injustice?
Amid their own personal and professional brokenness, Amy and Braden King discovered that most of the employees at their new construction company had a history of addiction, homelessness, and/or criminal convictions. Rather than giving in to fear, they chose to create a company that rebuilds lives while it builds houses. Square Peg’s culture-of-recovery has spawned two new companies specifically targeting systemic injustice — housing for the homeless and support services for those in recovery and reentering society. Business really can be a tool for social transformation.
